The Utena Drinking Game!  (v 1.0)

It is VERY STRONGLY recommended that you do not try to fulfill every
drink alone.  Assign a character to each player.  The "Duelling
Details" and "Miscellaneous" drinks are optional; I recommend that you
stick to beverages with low or zero alcoholic content if you plan to
watch a number of episodes and drink for those two sections along with
any characters.  I know this because I have tested out the rules with
friends, and the first time around, I and a few of the friends wound
up throwing up and/or becoming unconscious in short order.


Utena Tenjou
Whenever Utena protests her engagement to Anthy.
	--Drink again if she goes into a speech about Anthy's freedom.
	--And again if she says the phrase "stupid duels."
Whenever Utena gets challenged to a duel.
	--Drink again if the challenger actually offers her a rose as
part of the challenge.
When Utena is getting chewed out by teachers.
When Utena is in "girls' clothes" (dress, female school uniform--only
drink once upon the first sighting of the "girly" clothing).

Anthy Himemiya
Whenever Anthy gets slapped.
Whenever Anthy acts exceptionally subservient.
When Anthy looks especially vacant.
When Anthy waters the roses.
When Anthy smiles with her eyes closed.  (Presumably it's supposed to
make her look sweet and innocent.  Or something.)

Touga Kiryuu
When Touga's hair, specifically the light streak, goes uber-
transparent (i.e. you can see his eye through it when he's in profile,
etc.).
When Touga flirts with someone.  Anyone.  Even on the phone.
When Touga does something chivalrous.

Nanami Kiryuu
Whenever Nanami says "Big brother!"  (Or "oniisama" for the purists.)
When Nanami does obvious, disturbing brother-worship.
	--Drink twice if someone comments on it.
When Nanami is especially haughty or callous.
	--Again if someone comments on it.
When you first see Nanami in her horrifying yellow duelling uniform.

Wakaba Shinohara
Whenever Wakaba jumps on Utena's back.
When Wakaba squeals "Utena!" in that bizarre way.
When Wakaba proclaims her love for Utena.

Miki Kaoru
Whenever Miki clicks his stopwatch.
Piano playing.
When Miki gets all flustered from someone making allusions to his
feelings toward Anthy.

Kyouichi Saionji
Whenever Saionji mentions or hints at his love for Anthy.
When Saionji acts super-possessive of Anthy.
Saionji in kendo garb.
	--Again if someone else is also in kendo garb.
When Saionji is NOT scowling or looking otherwise crabby.

Juri Arisugawa
Juri in fencing gear.
	--Again if someone else is in fencing gear (only have to have
one extra drink, not one for each person in view).
Seeing Juri's locket.
	--Again when you get to see what's inside.
Whenever you're either distraught or delighted over her "preferences",
depending on your OWN preferences.

Akio Ohtori
The Akio Car.  (Duh.)
When Akio talks about the stars.
When Akio gets all creepy with Anthy.
When Akio is making out with anybody.

Mikage Souji
When Mikage makes a comment that would lead you to believe his
relationship with Mamiya isn't JUST friendship.
"Deeper . . . Go deeper . . ."
When Mikage discusses the "Black Rose Duelist of the Day" with Mamiya.

Mamiya Chida
When Mamiya's looking at his black rose.
When Mamiya plucks the black rose.
When Mamiya discusses the "Black Rose Duelist of the Day" with Mikage.

Chu Chu
When Chu Chu is assaulted by a frog.
When Chu Chu makes a "public appearance" in the school.
When Saionji mistreats Chu Chu.

Roses
Whenever a character is introduced by a frame with spinning roses.  (Only one drink per character, ever.)
One spinning rose that's just . . . there.
When a particular conversation/scene focuses on a Rose Seal ring.

Student Council
"The Chick Speech."
Whenever something surreal happens during Student Council meetings
(inexplicable apples, balloons, knife target practice).
Whenever someone mentions the End of the World.
	--Again if you get to see the letter(s) from End of the World
on-screen.
Someone mentioning "the Revolution of the World" outside of "The Chick
Speech".

Duelling Details
The opening of the Arena gates (and, if you haven't had too much to
drink already, headbang while the water's falling).
When Utena gets the "uniform upgrade" from Anthy.
When the roses are placed on the duellists.
"Rose of the noble castle . . ."
"Grant me the power to bring the world revolution!"
When the bells ring.
When you see someone watching the duel through those little opera
glasses.
Groovy action effects during the duels.
When a rose falls apart in a rain of petals.
Whenever you see Dios appear.

Miscellaneous
When you or one of your friends says, out loud, "What the HELL just
happened?!" or a close variation thereof.
Whenever silhouettes appear (face and body are blacked-out, but hair,
clothes, etc. are colored).  (Only drink once at the beginning of such
scenes.)
Overt sexual innuendo (suggestive poses or actions, significant
dishevellment of characters, certain comments).
Bishounen pectoral exposure.  (Touga or Saionji or Akio bare-chested,
even if it's just a little.)
Sweatdrops.
Superdeformed facial expressions.
When the Shadow Play Girls start their schtick.
	--Again if they say the phrase "Do you know/I wonder?" (or
"Kachira!") during the Shadow Play.
The "eyecatch".
Weird abstract backgrounds.
	--Again if action is taking place on the background, outside the
duels.
Bizarre events in otherwise normal settings (horse running through the
school, etc.)
	--Again if it's EXTRA weird (kangaroo with boxing gloves, gaah!)
Super-bishounen poses (Touga on a bed or looking extra flirty, any
other really good-in-your-opinion moments).  We can't get enough of
those!!
When anyone is wearing clothing other than their "normal" outfit,
provided it's not described above (Student Council members not in
uniform, etc.)
